Waze crashes Android Auto? : r/waze - Reddit
WEBMar 20, 2023 · It has always done this ever since I got Android Auto on my car, and the Android Auto and Waze app itself have been updated a load of times. However, Waze still crashes. For the first 15-30 minutes of navigation it works fine, but then crashes and recovers, but crashes more often until it gets into some kind of crash loop.

WEBNov 9, 2021 · When I run Waze and my phone is connected to Android Auto in my car's headunit, the volume of Waze's announcements (e.g. navigation instructions or warnings about traffic hazards) is so low, I can barely hear it. If it weren't for the fact that the music stops for the announcement, I wouldn't even know that there was an announcement at all.

WEBMar 9, 2019 · The reason is in Android's latest updates. Just make night mode settings in your phone settings. And you can do it at night mode or on a predefined schedule. From sunset to sunrise or hours you set. That may be a solution, but night mode is only usable when you don't have a theme applied on your phone.

WEBJul 6, 2023 · The manufacturer of your head unit probably just never actually implemented the day/night based off of it's sensors. Like the other comments said, make sure the illumination wire is connected to your radio but if it is then there's really nothing you can do other than force night mode in the Android auto settings. 1.

WEBJul 22, 2023 · With the latest update of Android Auto I no longer have Waze. I open Waze on my phone, plug in to the USB port and the car's screen goes straight to Google maps. No road hazard notifications, no time and distance to destination, no reporting functions, and no Waze icon on the ribbon like it had previously (same w/ iHeart radio).

Yes, same Waze version, same issue, I have to open Waze from the notification and back out to shut it down. Yes, I switched from Waze to Google maps while driving and waze kept talking to me.

WEBOct 7, 2023 · I just got a boss audio head unit and waze shows up as a blue screen and never works. It might once of 20 times work for a bit. I've un-installed waze and Android auto. Installed earlier version of both, nothing works to fix it. Google maps works fine, just waze won't. The unit is a wireless unit. Any thoughts? Thanks
