Rare Metal because (IIRC) it allows you to break dmg-limit and gives you +500 STR in exchange for -500 DEF, also nukes your hp so worthwhile to combine with adamantite bangle (+10K hp). 2 issues: First, Ragnarok is a dlc weapon.

FFXV does this SO WELL with great dialogue and even small animation interactions between them all, in and out of combat. While maybe not necessary to the “plot”, the time spent driving around and doing the hunts/photos/royal arms quests are necessary for the emotional beats of the plot that come in later chapters of the game.
