For example, Johns FF16 Tech Review did a great Job showing a game that clearly goes beyond the PS5s capabilities in its "60" FPS mode. Capping the 'Balance' mode at 40fps and outputting the game within a 120Hz container seems like the easiest fix.

I could see it as concerning the "default" option now doesn't include the disc drive, but you could have said the same with the Physical/Digital console releases day 1, and Sony seemed to have focused on making more physical versions back then too.
