Robert the Doll is a haunted doll that lives in Key West, Florida. He was created by the Steiff Company around 1904 and given as a gift to a Key West boy who developed an unusual relationship with the toy. Some theories suggest Robert the Doll was created with voodoo.

The doll originally belonged to Robert Eugene Otto, an artist described as "eccentric", who belonged to a prominent Key West family. The doll was reportedly manufactured by the Steiff Company of Germany, purchased by Otto's grandfather while on a trip to Germany in 1904, and given to young Otto as a birthday gift.

It all started when Robert Otto was 4 years old and living in a home in Key West that now serves as The Artist House Hotel. The year was 1904 and a young girl believed to be of Bahamian descent gives him a life-sized doll made of fabric stuffed with straw. The story goes that Otto became enamored with the doll and named it after himself – Robert.
