My suggestion is to go late in the day. We did a sunset tour and it was perfect. Very few people there.
Hi, during the ride up the cable car and when reached the peak, is the air so thin that breathing becomes difficult? How did you cope with it? I am travelling with kids and older folks.

I don’t recall there being a fee from the ticket office. You could try email them. Personally I’d book on the day instead of online in advance. You need to pick the clearest day of your trip …

Skip the 4 minute tram ride from sapa, and instead, with your prepaid aerial tram ticket in hand, get a taxi to take you direct to aerial car station. If you do this, assuming weather conditions are good, you probably have enough time to get to top of Fansipan assuming you do arrive in sapa around 1.
