Suffolk County firefighters are responding to an apartment fire in Central Islip. Fire dispatchers said the fire was reported at about 1:30 p.m. at an apartment complex on Hawthorne Avenue. An address listed for the fire included a unit in the Hawthorne Living apartment complex.
