Philadelphia Eagles rookie cornerback Cooper DeJean played a significant role in helping his team defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59. DeJean made headlines by intercepting Patrick Mahomes in the biggest game of the season and returning it for a touchdown.

Cooper DeJean and Caitlin Clark have an Iowa connection, but that doesn’t mean their NFL allegiances align. DeJean, who played at Iowa during Clark’s time there, was one of the Eagles’ Super Bowl 2025 heroes with his second-quarter pick-six of Patrick Mahomes to help seal the win in New Orleans.
