In pictures: Belfast-Dublin Enterprise train down the years ahead of move to new home at Grand Central Station
The inaugural Enterprise train service travelled from Belfast to Dublin steamed off at 10.30am on 11 th August 1947. Operated by Great Northern Railway (Ireland), it was a prestige seven-carriage steam train aimed mostly at those travelling for business, with first class accommodation, catering, extra leg room and lavatories.
