One week into congestion pricing, MTA officials say the results are promising — but can the state-run transit agency show the proof?

Preliminary data from the first week of New York City's highly debated congestion pricing program shows the country's first plan of its kind is working, officials said.

The MTA said 7.5% fewer vehicles entered the zone below 60th Street during the first week in which drivers had to pay the congestion pricing toll.
