Temperatures continue to rise as a warm front brought in snow showers Wednesday morning. We picked up some coatings across southeastern Massachusetts, to 2-4 inches in northern parts of the Commonwealth.

This system still lacks adequate moisture to break out the plows, but Boston and really much of New England could pick up an inch or two. Elevation will play a role with this next system and snow production, with the mountainous regions of Western Mass., New Hampshire and Vermont possibly reaching 3 inches.

One corner of the state saw the most snowfall, while the Cape saw no snow during Wednesday morning's snowstorm.

There is a chance of plowable snow in parts of Massachusetts this week. Monday promises to be a bright and seasonable day, with highs in the 30s. Winds will remain breezy throughout the day, picking up in intensity as the evening approaches and continuing into the night.

The National Weather Service issued an updated snow squall warning at 1:27 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 2 p.m. for Franklin, Hampshire, Middlesex and Worcester counties.

Be prepared for a brief period of light to moderate snow between midnight and 7 a.m. Wednesday across Massachusetts.

A dry start to the week is expected to see a shift on Tuesday, as Massachusetts could have two windows of time where snow could fall, possibly accumulating as much as 3 inches. Most of Monday should see dry conditions carry on well into the evening until the early morning hours on Tuesday,
