Springfield and Mt. Zion are each declaring snow emergencies ahead of Sunday’s winter storm. On Saturday, the City of Springfield’s Office of Public Works declared a snow emergency for designated snow routes starting at 11 p.

Some counties and cities in Northern Kentucky and the rest of the Cincinnati area are advising residents to remove parked cars from roads.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency in preparation for the snow, freezing rain, ice, and “arctic temperatures” expected to begin Sunday.
