The Animal Liberation Front claimed responsibility for releasing more than 14,000 mink from a farm in near New Hampton in neighboring Chickasaw County on Sept. 7, 2000.

The Sunbury Animal Hospital said on Sunday mink have surrounded the hospital, but they should not be approached. The animal hospital has asked for help setting traps for the escaped animals.
