TORONTO -- Logan Stankoven ended a 25-game goal drought, scoring twice and adding an assist for the Dallas Stars in a 4-1 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday. Matt Duchene had a goal and two assists and Jake Oettinger made 27 saves for the Stars (28-14-1), who have won eight of their past nine.

After a prosperous five-game win streak, the Maple Leafs have fallen to earth with back-to-back losses to the Carolina Hurricanes and Vancouver Canucks, being outscored 9-3 along the way. Another lackluster goaltending performance is the last thing the Leafs need against the Stars, who are scoring the 10th-most goals per game this season.
