I know the Panasonic one does.<BR><BR>And I'm assuming that the regular Gamecube doesn't, but I want to know for sure.<BR><BR>Can the Gamecube play mini-DVD's?

Sounds interesting, but I think Matsushita would add a remote control for DVD playback, like they did for their present model. Console controllers are horrible remotes.
