In just a handful of days, incoming sixth-graders chose an instrument, learned how to play it, and presented an en masse concert for family and friends, all thanks to the free Jump Start Music Camp.
Jump Start Music Camp began in 2023, after the school district decided in 2022 to cut the last of its elementary orchestra and instrumental music programs and instead, fold them into middle school.
