Kentucky’s 2024 general election will decide who will get the state’s eight electoral college votes for the presidential race. Some districts will have local elections, such as city council positions or special elections. Two key statewide issues, Amendment 1 and Amendment 2, are also on the ballot.

Kentucky’s three-day early voting period runs Thursday, Oct. 31, through Saturday, Nov. 2. You can also request a ballot by mail until Tuesday, Oct. 22, when the state’s absentee ballot portal will close at 11:59 p.m. local time.

Passage of the Freedom to Vote Act would have expanded access to voter registration and the ballot box for millions of Kentuckians for the 2024 election.

Ballots can be viewed online through the Kentucky Secretary of State’s website. Find them here. Secretary of State Michael Adams said while voter registration increased in September, it hasn’t reached the levels seen during the same period in 2020. The deadline for voter registration was Oct. 7.
