Miracle On Ice, bill keating and Congressional Gold Medal
Jim Craig, the goaltender of the ‘Miracle on Ice’ American team, is putting 19 items from the 1980 Olympics up for auction, including his gold medal, game-worn jerseys, stick, skates and pads.
Heinz Kluetmeier, an award-winning photojournalist whose portfolio includes iconic Olympic images of the ''Miracle On Ice'' in 1980 and Michael Phelps' ''Miracle Finish'' in 2008, has died. He was 82.
The photo appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated without words for the only time in the magazine's history.
