Lil Jon paid tribute to his son, Nathan Murray Smith, as he laid him to rest two weeks after his death. “On the first day of Ramadan yesterday, We laid my only son to rest,” the rapper wrote alongside a montage of photos from Nathan’s life on Thursday.
TMZ first reported the news. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to NBC that Lil Poppa died of a gunshot wound to the head and that his death was ruled a suicide. Lil Poppa was part of Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group. He released songs including “Love & War,” “Mind Over Matter” and “HAPPY TEARS.”
