They are found in Revelation 6:1-17 and Revelation 8:1-5. As each of the seven seals is broken, a picture or representation of events that took place on the earth during that seal period is described.

Revelation 8 reads: "When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. ... "And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

As such, he deemed himself qualified to “open” the seven seals of the Book of Revelation-that is, decipher their meaning. The Bible says this act precedes the end of the world.
