CARROLLTON, Ky. (WAVE) – Officials says the body of a third victim has been found in the remains of a home that caught fire early yesterday and the search for a fourth person believed to be inside is continuing.
Police: All victims recovered from fatal Carrollton house fire
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Authorities have recovered a fourth body from a fatal house fire in Carroll County. The massive fire was reported Thursday around 6 a.m. in the 200 block of 5th Street in downtown Carrollton, an hour north of Louisville. Fire crews found the two-story home engulfed in flames.
'It's an overwhelming thing,' says family member of Carrollton house fire victims
"Our meticulous workflow that we have is a combination of heavy equipment to move the large debris, and then we also are moving it by hand through that material, making sure we don't miss anything," said Tony Crutcher, Carroll County Emergency Management director.
