The cold wave has intensified in Uttar Pradesh, along with other states such as Delhi, Haryana and Punjab due to winds from North India. This extreme cold has made daily life challenging with people largely staying indoors.

With both minimum and maximum temperatures plummeting in Noida, the Gautam Buddha Nagar administration on Thursday ordered all schools up to Class 8 to remain shut "till further orders".

Amid the ongoing cold wave and foggy conditions, schools from nursery to class 8 in Noida will remain shut from tomorrow, January 3. The announcement has been made by Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma considering the health of students.

Amid the cold and fog, all schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar from class one to eight will remain shut from Friday.
