The game is not being shown live on television in the UK but it was moved to the unusual kick-off time of 6pm to meet an international broadcasting request, so it will be available to watch abroad, reports the Sheffield Star. Highlights will be shown on Match of the Day which starts at 10.30pm on BBC One.

Last season’s FA Cup semi-finalists Coventry booked their place in the fourth round of this year’s competition with a penalty shootout victory over Sheffield Wednesday following a 1-1 draw after extra time.

A sixth game between Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry City since Christmas Day 2023, moved to 6pm on a Saturday so it can be shown on overseas but not English television, is hardly one to set the pulses racing.
