Israel has stepped up its operations in the West Bank in recent weeks, since the ceasefire in Gaza came into effect.

The Israeli military operation demolished around 20 buildings in the Jenin refugee camp, escalating tensions in the West Bank. Israeli forces targeted militant fighters and weapons stockpiles, leading to gun battles and fatalities.

Four Palestinians were martyred in two separate Israeli airstrikes on Jenin city in the northern West Bank today [Sunday]. In a statement, Palestinian Ministry of Health said that an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in center of Qabatiya town south of Jenin and martyred two youth.

The Israel Defense Forces insisted it was “not forcing the Palestinians to evacuate,” but said it had “allowed residents of the camp to evacuate … through an organized and secured point.”
