The Commanders are making a lot of fans very proud this year, including minority owner Magic Johnson. ASHBURN, Va. — There’s no doubt that something special has been happening with the Washington Commanders this season.

Johnson was part of an ownership group that purchased the Commanders from Dan Snyder in 2023. That group has found quick success, replacing the franchise’s general manager and head coach six months after taking over, then watching that management draft quarterback Jayden Daniels and become one of the most surprising teams in the NFL this year.

Terry McLaurin is the heart and soul of the Washington Commanders. On Sunday night, McLaurin, in his first career playoff game, caught seven passes for 89 yards, including a touchdown in Washington's 23-20 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC wild-card round.
