It’s unclear why you’d need a PlayStation Network account to play a single-player game on your PC.

The Last of Us 2 is coming to PC in April, and you'd better believe it will require a PSN account on Steam. As we saw with God of War Ragnarok, people are going to react normally when this happens, and we're giving you three months' notice now so we can say "told you so" then.

Here we go again. The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered, a single-player video game with no multiplayer modes or features, will for some reason require players to login into a PlayStation Network account on Steam when it arrives in April.

Sony has confirmed that when The Last of Us Part 2 comes to PC in April, it will require a PSN account to play. The game, which is now available to wishlist on Steam and the Epic Games Store, will be released on April 3. It’s the latest Sony PC title to require a PSN account, a decision that’s proved controversial in the past.

Sony has signalled that The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PC requires a PSN account three months before the game’s release on Steam. As spotted by VGC, the Steam page for Naughty Dog’s single-player adventure includes the now-standard Sony requirement for a PlayStation Network account.
