The Texas Longhorns women's college basketball team came up short against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the SEC Conference Tournament championship game, losing by a score of 64-45. Barring these two juggernaut teams facing off again in the NCAA Tournament (which could certainly happen),

Dawn Staley backed up the luck of the coin flip this week in South Carolina.

Both South Carolina and Texas had been likely one-seeds ahead of this game. But Texas, which had held the No. 1 overall seed coming into tournament play, will likely lose that spot. It would be surprising to see the Longhorns fall off the one-line, though. Despite the 19-point loss, their resume remains strong.
