The University of Texas announced Friday that its live mascot, Bevo, will be in attendance for the College Football Playoff semifinal game against Ohio

Texas fans will get to see sensational Buckeyes freshman receiver Jeremiah Smith, who had two long touchdown catches in a superb Rose Bowl. Meanwhile, Ohio State fans will get another look at quarterback Quinn Ewers, the Texas native who has played for both schools.

Bevo's short stint on the sidelines for the College Football Playoff is over, Texas football announced on Friday. Texas' live longhorn mascot will be making the trip to Arlington for the Longhorns' Cotton Bowl clash at AT&T Stadium against Ohio State.

The No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes (12-2) and No. 4 Texas Longhorns (13-2) face each other on January 10, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. ET in the Cotton Bowl, with a spot in the College Football Playoff National

Next up for Texas (13-2) is the Cotton Bowl and the CFP semifinals. The Longhorns will face either Oregon or Ohio State at AT&T Stadium on Jan. 10.

After being banned from the sidelines for the SEC Championship Game and the CFP Quarterfinal at the Peach Bowl, both held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Bevo will be back for the CFP Semifinal in the Cotton Bowl.
