The Houston Fire Department is mourning the loss of an active duty firefighter who they say was close to retiring.

The city is grieving the loss of Engineer Operator/Paramedic Troy Steinberg, who passed away on January 23 after 34 years of service with the Houston Fire Department.

A video sent to ABC13 showed water gushing from a construction zone area in the roadway, which was slowly becoming submerged.

The Houston Police Department and the Houston Fire Department took advantage of the snowfall that fell across the Houston area early Tuesday morning and took part in a snowball fight.
