Everything always gets crazy during the final week of the NFL regular season, and this year was no different. It lasted all the way until the final game of Week 18 to determine what the 2025 NFL playoff picture would look like with Wild Card Weekend ahead.

The Detroit Lions are the favorites to win Super Bowl 2025 entering NFL playoffs after a huge win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 18.

The Detroit Lions defense held Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Darnold to a 43.9% completion percentage and just 166 yards passing in a 31-9 win.

The Lions have clinched the division title against Minnesota in consecutive seasons, although this finish was a bit more dramatic. The Vikings will now head to Los Angeles as the NFC's No. 5 seed and play the Rams in the Wild Card round, while the Lions earn a week of rest before starting the playoffs in the Divisional round.

NFL regular season concludes with a massive NFC North matchup on "Sunday Night Football." The Lions host the Vikings in the season finale.

The Lions running back had 139 yards and three touchdowns on the ground to go along with 31 yards receiving and another score in the air.

On the ensuing Detroit possession, Goff completed each of his eight pass attempts for 59 yards, guiding Dan Campbell's offense on a 13-play, 70-yard drive. The scoring drive took 7:25 off the clock, and was capped off with a 10-yard TD toss to Gibbs.
