A man died following a fall while climbing in Leominster State Forest in Westminster on Thursday afternoon.

The man was climbing at the time of the incident, the DA’s office says. Massachusetts State Police troopers with the DA’s office are investigating the area of the state forest inside Westminster.

Volunteers are needed to help clear debris from the trail system this winter, before the city releases 35,000 maps of Leominster’s trails and conservation areas, DiNardo said.
