NewsNation is shaking up its primetime lineup in the wake of Dan Abrams' departure. Beginning Monday, Feb. 10, Leland Vittert's "On Balance" will air in the 9 p.m. ET hour, while "Elizabeth Vargas Reports" moves to 7 p.

Leland Vittert, a former Fox News Channel reporter who has become an evening host on Nexstar Media’s NewsNation, will take over the 9 p.m. hour on that network that is being vacated by current host Dan Abrams.

Vittert’s slot is currently occupied by veteran journalist and television host Abrams, who joined NewsNation in 2021 to host the nightly prime-time show Dan Abrams Live. In December 2024, Abrams, who previously worked for NBC News and MSNBC, announced he would be ending his show in February 2025, though he’ll remain with the network.
