Major theme parks Walt Disney World and Universal remained open Tuesday ahead of Hurricane Milton’s expected hit as a major storm in Florida, even as other parts of Orlando’s tourism machine shut down.

But Orange County, home to Walt Disney Resort, remains unaffected so far, with no evacuation orders currently in place -- although the county does fall under a state of emergency declaration issued by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Saturday. At the time of this writing, the park remains open, operating as normal through Tuesday.
