Hamas has confirmed that its military chief, Mohammed Deif, was killed in an Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip last year.

CAIRO (Reuters) - Hamas' armed wing or al-Qassam Brigades announced on Thursday the killing of its elusive military leader Mohammed Deif and deputy military commander Marwan Issa in combat.

Sunita Williams and fellow astronaut Barry Wilmore stepped out of the station on Thursday to perform maintenance work and wipe its exterior to check for any surviving Earth microbes.
