Up and down the Front Range, sheriff's departments and fire departments are preparing for this weekend's weather.

The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for parts of Colorado on Saturday, saying gusty winds, low humidity and unseasonal heat will drive fire danger.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Boulder has issued a red flag warning for a large portion of Colorado’s Front Range, mountains and northeastern plains starting at 10 a.m. and lasting until 9 p.m.

Fire danger levels will rise in Colorado on Saturday as winds kick up, humidity drops, and temperatures climb into the upper 80s. As a result of this weather change, Saturday will be a First Alert Weather Day.
