The Pakistan Cricket Board has dismissed rumors of removing Imran Khan's name from an enclosure at Gaddafi Stadium due to his imprisonment on corruption charges. They confirmed that names of all enclosures remain unchanged.

The board has strongly rejected any notion of having removed the Imran Khan enclosure despite the former Prime Minister getting sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment over a corruption case. The case for which Imran has been sentenced to imprisonment involves he and his wife being accused of receiving a parcel of land as bribe from a real estate businessman via the Al-Qadir Trust established when he held the office.

Speculations were doing rounds that PCB had removed the name of the 1992 World Cup winning captain from one of the enclosures at the stadium due to current political situation.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a clarification that no names have been changed or removed from the enclosures at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
