Lidia Fire initially started 2:07 p.m. Jan. 8 in Los Angeles County. Since its discovery three days ago, it has burned 395 acres. By Saturday 1 a.m., the fire crew effectively contained 98% of this fire. The cause of it remains under investigation.

Here's the latest on containment for the fires burning across Southern California as firefighters work to get the blazes under control.

Cal Fire, the state's fire agency, took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to urge people to not fly drone near the wildfires. It said that firefighting efforts at Palisades had to be stopper as a water-carrying aircraft struck a drone.
