Leland Vittert, a former Fox News Channel reporter who has become an evening host on Nexstar Media’s NewsNation, will take over the 9 p.m. hour on that network that is being vacated by current host Dan Abrams.

NewsNation is moving Leland Vittert’s nighttime show to the key 9 p.m. ET slot, following Dan Abrams decision to end his show. In other changes, Elizabeth Vargas Reports will move to the 7 p.m. ET slot,

Former Fox New Channel host Leland Vittert has been tapped by NewsNation to replace Dan Abrams in the 9 p.m. slot.

Vittert’s slot is currently occupied by veteran journalist and television host Abrams, who joined NewsNation in 2021 to host the nightly prime-time show Dan Abrams Live. In December 2024, Abrams, who previously worked for NBC News and MSNBC, announced he would be ending his show in February 2025, though he’ll remain with the network.
