Samuel is tending to an illness but is expected to play Sunday against the Chiefs, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Samuel operated with a cap on his reps this past week due to a wrist injury but ultimately was cleared to suit up for Week 7 action.

The 49ers, who began the game with Jauan Jennings inactive, have not seen much of Deebo Samuel today. Samuel came down with an illness, according to the team. He has spent much of the game getting oxygen and standing in front of a fan.
