After spending months averaging fewer than two minutes per game, Bronny James logged a career-high in playing time for the Los Angeles Lakers. However, head coach JJ Redick offered an honest assessment of his performance.

In a 118-104 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard—and son of superstar forward LeBron James— Bronny James struggled in the first ample playing time of his young career. The USC product attempted and missed five shots, and struggled to find his footing defensively against All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey and the Sixers.

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, made his 13th NBA appearance on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. Recalled from the G League after a 31-point performance for the South Bay Lakers on Friday, James entered JJ Redick's rotation in the first quarter against Philadelphia.

Yet, Lakers head coach JJ Redick feels the Lakers have put Bronny in "a tough spot" by moving him back and forth between the NBA and G League. Redick made the comments after Bronny returned to the Lakers lineup Tuesday in a 118-104 loss to the 76ers.

In just 15 minutes of play, the 20-year-old went 0-for-5 with three turnovers. "Maybe put him in a tough spot," Redick said.
