The visit comes six years after the fatal crash of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, which involved a Boeing 737 Max jet.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said he plans to visit a Boeing factory in Renton, Washington, on Thursday to ensure the U.S. planemaker is maintaining the highest level of safety, six years after a deadly 737 MAX crash in Ethiopia.

During their visit, Duffy and Rocheleau plan to meet with Boeing ( BA) Chief Executive Kelly Ortberg, who is scheduled to testify before the Senate Commerce Committee on April 2 about the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance safety and quality standards. They will also tour the 737 production facility and speak with FAA inspectors.
