An audit of the Arkansas governor's travel and security records that were shielded from public view has found no violations in how the money was spent.

A special audit of Arkansas State Police spending on security for the governor showed the agency has complied with state law, a legislative panel heard Friday. The audit conducted by the independent Arkansas Legislative Audit office found some underreported expenses in ASP’s quarterly reports that were corrected.

Arkansas Legislative Audit's staff concluded that the Arkansas State Police has developed a reasonable methodology for accumulating, calculating and reporting the expenses made confidential by Act 7 of the special session in September of 2023,
