Mets leaders hope to build on promising season after run to NLCS
Nimmo is part of a core of players returning next season. Him and shortstop Francisco Lindor will be the leaders of the team for the foreseeable future with both of them locked up long term. Much of the lineup will return as well, with Starling Marte, Jeff McNeil, Tyrone Taylor, Mark Vientos and Francisco Alvarez all coming back.
