AUSTIN — Franco Colapinto’s meteoric rise in Formula 1 shows no sign of slowing down.

Sergio Perez has told Franco Colapinto he should avoid making a return to F2 next year if he misses out on a Stake F1 seat. Colapinto has impressed since taking over from Logan Sargeant at Williams following the Dutch Grand Prix in late August, finishing 12th, 8th and 11th in his three races behind the wheel.
