The nominees are very much in line with the frontrunners for the 2025 Best Sound Oscars. The “Dune: Part Two” team was recognized for dialogue editing/ADR, effects/foley, and music editing, as was “Deadpool & Wolverine,” with “Alien: Romulus,” “Wicked, ” and “Emilia Pérez” all scoring nominations in feature sound categories as well.

The Cinema Audio Society also nominates "Masters of the Air," "Hacks," and "The Bear" for excellence in sound mixing.

Part Two," "Gladiator II" and "Wicked" have received nominations for the 61st annual CAS Awards for Outstanding Sound Mixing in 2024, the Cinema Audio Society announced on Tuesday. All five of those films are also on the 10-film Oscar shortlist in the Best Sound category,
