SAGINAW, MI — Saginaw police began investigating the shooting of a teenager little more than an hour into the new year.
Police investigating nonfatal shooting in Hartford
Officers responded to the area of 224 S. Marshall St. after receiving a ShotSpotter notification at 12:43 p.m. and found a gunshot victim as they were canvassing the area, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department.
Police investigating shooting that left 1 dead
The victim was pronounced dead at Jefferson Hospital. The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the death as a homicide, and plans to release the victim’s identity on Monday, a spokesman said.
