Emergency room visits spiked over the past few days as Tallahassee residents unaccustomed to winter storms contended with icy roads and sidewalks.

Much of north Florida was shut down Wednesday after a winter storm blanketed the region in ice and snow. The state urged everyone to remain off the roads until it is safe to drive. However, that isn’t stopping people from making the most of the winter weather.
