Jun 14, 2021 · What these people fail to explicity say is that kuya means OLDER brother. You never call your younger brother kuya. We also call OLDER acquaintances kuya. So this means they're poking fun at your age. This past decade or so though, people have been using kuya in lieu of mama (mister) when calling the attention of strangers who are older than you.

Nov 1, 2012 · When in doubt, it is safe to use Ate/Kuya or Tita/Tito instead. Personally, I avoid using Manang/Manong at all, even with merchants and service workers. Another honorific for those older than those you call Ate/Kuya is Tita/Tito (Aunt/Uncle literally) instead, for actual aunts and uncles, or friends or family friends.

May 19, 2022 · With a similarly invested AB Olivine's ult, my KD Kuya's ult can do 4300+ DOT for 3 turns. However, the cooldowns don't match up perfectly. SR Olivine and AB Olivine's ult cooldown matchs with normal Kuya SSR (4 turns) but KD Kuya is one turn early (3 turns), so if you want to buff his ultimate, you would have to wait a turn.
