Cheshire Constabulary’s Tactical Training Centre (TTC) is a purpose built facility for the training of a wide range of disciplines including public order and firearms. The TTC covers an area of 5445 square metres and can be adapted for many different training purposes.

Joining Cheshire Constabulary on the Detective Constable Entry Programme is the start of an exciting and rewarding journey that could take you anywhere. This is a unique opportunity for you to be a Detective at the very start of your career with Cheshire Constabulary.

Police officers work a 40 hour week. During Protected Learning Time (University attendance), you are required to attend the University between 9am and 5pm (Monday-Friday). Depending on where you are posted, the shift patterns may vary. A shift pattern will consist of early shifts, late shifts, night shifts, bank holidays and weekend shifts.

Jan 11, 2021 · Cheshire Constabulary is launching its first ever Fast Track Detective Programme, which will see those successfully recruited fast tracked to undertake the nationally accredited detective training programme.

20 weeks initial training You’ll start your training at our Headquarters in Winsford. Throughout the 20 weeks you will undertake a maximum of four assessments, including a knowledge exam around week 10 and 19 as well as an assessed interview and practical role play.
