Who is UMG and why are they copyrighting my videos?

UMG claimed your video because it may contain music they own.
My intention was primarily to save the video, as I had personally edited it from the movie. Consequently, I am the sole individual with knowledge of this specific video. I find myself contemplating whether it constitutes a breach of privacy for UMG to scan privately uploaded content. Just a point of curiosity. Thank you.

My current project is an RTS, so I have a UMG HUD with buttons and would like to still be able to pan while interacting with the HUD. Currently pressing a button releases the button press and only calls the released pin until I click in the out of the HUD. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The system has a ton of parts that make it really modular, and the plan is to next change all of the menus in the game to use this instead of the default UMG focus system.

Sep 13, 2022 · Hehe, it shouldn't be an issue performance-wise, but UMG seems to do some really ugly things that can be difficult to track down. For example, if you let UMG bind to a variable, UMG will check the value on tick. Constantly. It's just polling over and over and over all the time. And speaking of tick, all UMG elements will tick by default.

Dec 26, 2022 · There is a principle called "9 slicing" which can use one texture sliced up and then be stretched, not sure how its called in UMG Also your icon looks pixelated because its likely way bigger in resolution than on screen, so it will resample too hard, try size it more to the actual needed resolution +-

UMG is just easier to work with since it's a WYSIWYG editor. You get to see exactly what you've created straight away. The drawback from the perspective of a fundamentalist C++ programmer is that you have to use blueprints to bind data. However, this does not mean that you have to program your UMG UI entirely in blueprints.
