If the vacating tenant broke the window blinds, the departing tenant will pay for replacements out of their deposit.

Jun 18, 2020 · I don't know about NY either, but in MA blinds and window curtain rods are considered part of a house and are illegal to remove. Blinds aren't valuable enough to get in to an argument with your landlord. Let it go.

Jan 9, 2014 · ^^ agreed, but if blocking light is a goal, get the room darkening version. I have the double cell in a light color, and a lot of light comes in and as a result, I can't sleep in that room during the day. The 2" mini blinds are far more effective at blocking light.
